My friend,

I must respectfully disagree with your message. We take our responsibilities as journalists very seriously here at FogWatch.com, and I can assure you that every word on this site has been checked and double-checked for both accuracy and veracity. Your assertions are insulting to every man and woman on the crew of the HMS FogWatch.

In the case of the Brief History of Fog page (http://www.fogwatch.com/fog_history.htm), you make a number of serious accusations, but nowhere do you provide any supporting material for your allegations. I would be interested in seeing in this forum an alternative history -- completely footnoted -- to support your position, but I suspect that you would not be able to produce it.

I am particularly baffled by your final statement, "THAT HISTORY PAGE IS GIVING MANY PEOPLE FALSE INFORMATION, VERY FATAL." If you saw the FogWatch.com Web traffic logs, you would realize that very few people are getting any information -- true or false -- from our site.

As for the "fatal," allegation, I am truly baffled. Do you have evidence that our site is being used as a navigation aid by mariners? If so, I would be interested in learning about this.

In closing, I can assure you and our readers that I and the crew of the HMS FogWatch will forever stand on guard against the predations of historical revisionists such as this reader. FogWatch.com will always remain a vessel of independent journalism in a sea of co-opted media.

Your admiral,

Rear Admiral Phineas Fogg-Bottom
